Think on these things II

And then there is the one: “… think on these things”

I am still ‘working’ on that one.

That’s why I hate it when a waitress comes to the table near, but not at, theend -of a meal in a restaurant and says, “Are you still working on it?”
As if it were a question.

YES WE ARE STILL WORKING ON IT – OK

Profound Subtleties of Life and Mind I

Freedom of Choice Existed even Before the Famous Forbidden Fruit Incident
Eve’s exercise of her freedom simply became famous on the record of ‘Man”
And one of the consequences was that ‘Woman” got ‘credit’ for something that was an act of mankind . . .

Getting and giving credit is somehow related to the allegorical aphorism “It is more blessed to give than to receive” – I think (therefore we are?)

And then there is the one: “… think on these things”

In the mind it doesn’t exist

Legal system judges must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. .

Passing judgment on one’s fellow (female) is a dirty business but in a finite man’s world
Someone has to do it . . .
Every Judge must be the highest caliber character, competence, sincerity, and capability
Available at the time.

. . . divorced and/or flipped? In a finite world legal system.

In the United States the legal system is based on the rule of law and the proposition that a citizen must Judge not, unless you be the Judge. The responsibility of Judge always goes to the most qualified-looking volunteer, and is honored and well compensated.

The system is not perfect, but it is the best system we have been able to achieve, and this country is proud of its legal system – even though some judges prove to be disappointing.

SATTELLITE MESSAGE FROM OUTER SPACE RECEIVED AFTER PRESIDENT OBAMA'S DECEMBER FIRST SPEECH at The West Point Academy

Planet Earth to the United States
Earth to US
“Come In US”

YOU OWE US UNITED STATES
And we also owe you . . .

We would like to settle on the money first,
But some of us know that is not realistic

Some of the things the world might owe the United States for:

Constitutional Republic form of United States government as an avatar for the free countries on the earth and the United States Constitution and its history

Preserving freedom and restoring peace during and after WWI and WWII

Freedom of Speech – and the ideas that have developed from there

Scientific discoveries and leadership due to the responsible and unselfish use of some of the US’ resources

A sense of community in the world and in the United Nations

Development of spirituality and religion in a context of universality- protected and nourished, while also kept in perspective as nowhere else in world history . . .

Development and maintenance at great financial and human cost of the strongest military on earth without seeking territorial gain – for the first time in world history

Let’s Try To Make It Simple…

THE BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE or
ACTUALLY, The best defense is the best offense..

So, if defense is offense then what is the defense to offense that is defense?

WARNING New Mindset Ahead…

In today’s life-world, it is not often really essential to look back,
because stuff moves so fast that you must be alert and aware as you are going along,

- and then it is too late, – except for an autopsy..

WHEN YOU (or I) REFUSE TO HEAR ANOTHER’S TRUTH

You (or We) PREVENT Yourself (and Us) from hearing that truth

THIS IS PERHAPS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

Every sincere person must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and
SLOW TO ANGER

lol
I used to use lol at the end of some of my posts on facebook -to mean laugh out loud, AND lots of love

Yesterday morning I had an active facebook account with over 400 fb friends, and years of posts and comments
Suddenly with no warning at all
By noon I had no fb account
My account was Disabled by facebook
Allegedly for “violation of our rules of service”
Which simply means that facebook refused unilaterally to hear, or permit anyone else to hear, my truth

Such is the danger (and perhaps also the virtue) of the Internet..

WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE?

This is an important question!

The metaphysical answer is that it is usually a vocabulary problem.

BECAUSE, BAD THINGS DO NOT HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE.

ANGER IS BASICALLY A DEFENSE MECHANISM

…so lack of understanding, of any kind, causes anger in some form...

How prevalent is lack of understanding?
Need anyone even ask?
Can anyone ever answer?

…Until the end of time..

FREE WILL and FREEDOM OF CHOICE
BOON or BANE OR boon-boon or BANE-BOON or BANE-BANE? Or
(just) an exercise to increase patience because patience is a virtue
essential to learning – and much understanding comes from learning…

CORRECT ME, IF I’M WRONG (Otherwise, don’t block my way)

Punishment is not correction, but in our minds we associate the two…
Because refusal to accept bona fide enhancement then requires punishment.

See the allegorical Garden of Eden story of Adam and Eve and the Apple…

INDIGNATION IS A FORM OF SELF DEFENSE

I suspect/theorize that all human DNA contains answers to every problem there will ever be for human beings.
A perfect being has no need for self defense because perfection of any kind requires no defense.

During THE MILLENNIUM, seeds of understanding contained in the allegory of the Garden of Eden will come to flower, bringing understanding of truth.
...and the truth shall make you free.

NOTES FOR MYSELF - Part II

14) Lack of respect is a basic problem in an orderly universe…
Lack of respect is ALWAYS a problem in an orderly universe.

15) Trying to solve any problem without sufficient respect, will only create another problem…

16) 1 – 15 above make clear the importance of THE GOLDEN RULE.

17) Injustice is always the absence of sufficient respect.

18) Our Justice system is an evolved, evolutionary, evolving
Set of Rules, to insure sufficient respect in human relations.

19) Sincerity is a direct, in-proportion product of respect.

20) When respect is sufficient, all problems will be resolved…

NOTES FOR MYSELF – The Lucky 13 of Problem Solving

Every problem has its cause(s).

The best problem solving is based on finding the cause(s).

Trying to solve a problem without knowing the cause often happens on this earth, and will always make the problem(s) worse before it gets better.

Often trying to solve a problem without understanding the cause will cause new problems, without solving the original problem.

When problem solving, it makes good sense to start with yourself because that is the factor that you should know best.

If you do not understand yourself well, then you cannot be an effective problem solver.

Every problem offers an opportunity to find a solution.

There are no unsolvable problems.

Sometimes (often) people must work together to solve problems.

When the solution to a problem requires co-operation (which happens often) the problem cannot be solved without co-operation.

Often in human events there are those who do not want the problem solved, for selfish reasons of their own.

That might create a new problem, which must be solved first.

Everything in creation is orderly and organized. Chaos theory is about the fact that in truth there is no actual chaos. If it looks like chaos, you are probably only looking at a part of a larger picture.

Simple Things No One Ever Told Me

There is nothing random about the universe.
The law of cause and effect is always operating,
and the universe is to a fine Swiss watch
as the cosmos is to a garbage dumpster full of the worst garbage.

Where there is no respect, THERE there is nothing…

Appreciation is a form of respect.

Sincerity is based on respect.

SOMETIMES I SAY STUPID THINGS ...just to be smart

.... and vice versa too

do you remember the (for a short time) popular song -
"DON'T EAT PEOPLE, EATING PEOPLE IS WRONG"

that was years ago, and now the song should be
"DON'T HARASS PEOPLE, HARASSING PEOPLE IS WRONG"

that really IS Progress in a finite world
GREAT PROGRESS

… and with all your getting, get understanding…”

We fail to understand/appreciate that enlightenment is not the end of the journey, It is just the beginning…

Finite thinking created a concept known as “the world of opposites” to assist the human mind with understanding.

That seemed fine, as far as it goes.
But the world of opposites is a divisive concept,
And enlightenment is about synthesis and wholeness.

First Presidency Message
“With All Thy Getting Get Understanding”
By President Gordon B. Hinckley
First Counselor in the First Presidency
Gordon B. Hinckley, “‘With All Thy Getting Get Understanding’,” Ensign, Aug 1988, 2–5
I desire to share some thoughts having to do with education—specifically the education of our minds and hearts, for those are the instruments by which we obtain knowledge. Said the Lord to Oliver Cowdery, “Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart.” (D&C 8:2.)
I remember a day some years ago when I strolled about the campus of a great university. I was impressed with the splendor of the buildings, the immaculate laboratories, the teaching theaters, the magnificent library, the dormitories, the gymnasiums. But I was more impressed with the students. There were thousands of them—handsome young men and beautiful young women, seemingly serious and intent and earnest.
I am awed by the great forces of knowledge represented in our time. Never before have so many been educated in the learning of the world. What a powerful thing it is—the intensive schooling of a large percentage of the youth of the world, who meet daily at the feet of instructors to garner knowledge from all the ages of man.
The extent of that knowledge is staggering. It encompasses the stars of the universe, the geology of the earth, the history of nations, the culture and language of peoples, the operation of governments, the laws of commerce, the behavior of the atom, the functions of the body, and the wonders of the mind.
With so much knowledge available, one would think that the world might well be near a state of perfection. Yet we are constantly made aware of the other side of the coin—of the sickness of society, of the contentions and troubles that bring misery into the lives of millions.
Each day we are made increasingly aware of the fact that life is more than science and mathematics, more than history and literature. There is need for another education, without which the substance of secular learning may lead only to destruction. I refer to the education of the heart, of the conscience, of the character, of the spirit—these indefinable aspects of our personalities, which determine so certainly what we are and what we do in our relationships one with another.
Over fifty years ago while serving in England as a missionary, I went to the London Central YMCA. I suppose that old building has long since gone, but I can never forget the words that faced visitors in the foyer each time they entered. They were the words of Solomon: “With all thy getting get understanding.” (Prov. 4:7.)

WHAT HAVE I GOT TO LOSE?

This seemingly simple question has become a kind of psychological thermometer for each individual to use in decision making.

The answer to the question before ‘losing it’ is “everything” and the answer to the question after ‘losing it’ is “nothing.”

The Job of President of The United States of America is the most important job in the world - if it is done sincerely, intelligently , and honestly

WHEN THE JOB OF PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS NOT DONE SINCERELY, INTELLIGENTLY, AND HONESTLY there is no job that is the most important job in the world

THE IMPORTANCE OF COURTS, JUDICIAL SYSTEMS, AND JUDGES

A PERSON WHO HAS ACCEPTED THE POSITION OF A JUDGE WITHIN ANY JUDICIAL SYSTEM HAS A PARAMOUNT DUTY TO SERVE THE AUTHORITY THAT PUT HIM/HER THERE.

To say it in the simplest possible terms:
1) We have judges because a person without (enough) understanding is just a talking monkey.
2) Society must deal with people who are just talking monkeys or society will be destroyed by ignorance and brute strength.
3) So to protect everybody (including the talking monkeys) we have police, and investigators, and prosecutors, AND JUDGES, and appeals courts and supreme courts, and a President of the United States of America.
4) AFTER THAT GOD, ONLY, KNOWS…

PROFOUND... and simple

The Simple/Profound Fact is
That nothing is either good or evil for me until
I make a judgment for myself…

The Profound/Simple Truth is
Because Mankind (which includes both men and women)
Chose to exercise freedom of choice (which includes both men and women)
Every judgment about good or evil is up to each individual – for himself or herself
We were given the choice, and we completed the choice… (Leaving no option)

HOW DO WE KNOW THESE THINGS?
Don’t Ask
Don’t Tell

THE RULE OF NEVERS

Never Show, Tell, Expose, or Permit -
anything you know to be offensive to another person- to reach that person,
if you can prevent it…

THERE IS A BETTER WAY

Find it

And all will benefit…

THE INTERNET HAS MADE THE BUSYBODY SYNDROME MUCH LESS NECESSARY

Information passing and retrieval is no longer ‘village style’ - as in the past.

THE OLDEST PROFESSION

Has finally earned the respect that it is due.
It is now the
‘Harvard University Graduate School of Heterosexual Relationships’-
(“Extension Division”).

SELF INDULGENCE

Keeping the personality and the psyche in tune…
Is more complicated than rocket science…

Self-indulgence, by definition, is not for the benefit of another.
Indirectly, it has been exploited by capitalism, and entrepreneurs, for profit,
Actively and passively….for generations…
. That, also, is self-serving activity.

In any proper system of morality the person gaining benefit must pay for their self-indulgence. Self-indulgence at the expense of another is always morally wrong-(EVEN WHEN 'THEY' THINK -usually temporarily- THAT THEY WANT IT THAT WAY).

Animosity is energy wasted in the New Age…

Self defense is not really of the self any more, and
Animosity must be raised to a level where it becomes energy on behalf of a just cause,
So it will become productive for Society…

ALL THINGS CONSIDERED

Humanity Is A Magnificent Story of finite Majesty and Tragedy

The tragedy is the result of mankind’s freedom of choice and thought.
When thought “understands” something it is always because it sees in it something advantageous.

The reason it is necessary to accept the proposition that we never know our own best interest is because thought is voluntary and cannot be controlled, but a still mind, seeing the deception of how thought splits itself and opposes what it wants, can end the activity of thought and take a break.

In a perfectly created, perfectly ordered universe every moment and every morsel matters.

In an unsystematic, random selection universe
Nothing really matters, except science – whatever that means…

GREAT MOMENTS

A great moment occurs at a place where the situation requires a synthesis, and the participants accept the fact(s) as true, so enabling the synthesis.
This allows a yin-yang moment to occur. The duration of such a moment becomes timeless, and continues to a climax.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS !

“Don’t Worry, Be Happy” THERE’S A GREAT DAY COMING!

A PROFOUND PHILOSOPHY FOR LOVE & FAITH - The Hubris of Finite Wisdom
One of THE Great Moral Imperatives is: "Be Happy."
The simple formula is to limit worry.
Most worries don't materialize; those that do often turn out to be blessings "in disguise."

PARADISE is an English word identified with the Garden of Eden or with Heaven. In the gospel of Luke: Jesus tells a criminal crucified alongside him that they would be together in paradise that day.

A RESPONSIBLE MIND sometimes discovers and/or embraces Zen, which is a school of Mahyna Buddhism notable for emphasizing practice and experiential wisdom - particularly as realized/discovered, through a form of meditation known as zazen. Zazen is sometimes instrumental during the attainment of awakening, and/or awareness.

BEFORE WE WERE BORN

Kalinin K-7 - a massive aircraft Posted: 06 Jul 2009 02:28 PM PDT During the early 1930s, a team of scientists led by Konstantin Kalinin tried to solve some of the most complex problems in aviation design. Thus the idea to create the Kalinin K-7 was born. It would be a plane of huge proportions, especially designed for overseas flights.Sometime during the development of a design which might allow such a task to be performed, arose the concept of placing the cargo - people and objects - on the actual wings of the airplane, leading up to a variety of drawings and the concept of the flying wing. The airplane was even tested in a wind tunnel in 1928 and a protoype was begun in 1929. The proportions were staggering at the time - a 53 m (173 ft 11 in) wingspan and a 454 m² (4,886.8 ft²) wing area. Only one aircraft was actually built, but it was enough to stir up the imaginations of many enthusiasts. These images are mere mad ravings that could never be built, yet they are truly impressive (these pictures were taken from a Russian website). The original designs: related articles: - a light sport aircraft within the reach of a mere mortal- New airports in Japan- Sudenly, the world steps out of the shadows and into colours - the Lumière brothers- Mayday: television for couch potatoes

Perfect is when you thought it couldn’t get any better And it gets better

I just learned that freshly bruised bananas have healing qualities.
Coming home from a midnight run to the all-night supermarket I stumbled as I entered my doorway with my bags of groceries and fell forward into my dark cluttered Studio, losing my balance and my plastic bags of produce. My carefully guarded bananas and my precious loaf of fresh bread tumbled to the floor with an unceremonious crash.

I turned on a light and quickly peeled the worst looking banana. It was mushed, but delicious. I feel better already.
